Our story begins with a committed father and dedicated mother, Jeff and Kim Isenhour, bringing their second child into the world. It was a very risky venture with a family to raise and care for, but the Isenhours always had the desire to create a business that put the customer’s needs over profit unlike similar service providers. They wanted to become THE major appliance repair resource while keeping their customer’s best interest in mind. Despite having seven years of industry experience, the Isenhours would start their own company with no name recognition in the appliance repair industry, few service contacts with tight funding, all while caring for their two small children. To complicate matters, they would also have to face competition from larger, more established repair companies that had been preforming in the market for years.

Advanced Appliance Service began operating in the Gastonia area of May in 1986. What started as a single technician and a mother on maternity leave, transformed into two technicians and a full-time office receptionist within the first year. With hard work, determination, dedication, and outstanding moral values, the company continued to grow and flourish. As the company matured and developed, the service area grew as well. Soon Advanced Appliance was able to also service Rock Hill and other cities in South Carolina thanks to their diligent employees and satisfied customers.

After eleven years of service, the Gastonia and Rock Hill offices were consolidated into a central headquarters on S. New Hope Rd in Gastonia. There the company continued to strengthen and develop. In 2012 the company underwent another expansion, this time spreading East to Fayetteville and the surrounding area and in 2017 construction began for a new office and an extensive part shop. In June of 2018 the long wait was finally over and the company moved to their new location.

Today Advanced Appliance Service operates in Cabarrus, Catawba, Chester, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Union, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Lee, Moore, Robeson, and York Counties and consists of 30 factory trained technicians and 11 office professionals. Each technician is factory trained and certified to work on Whirlpool and Frigidaire affiliated products. The company has received numerous awards from both Whirlpool and Lowes for being an outstanding servicer. Through the years the company has adapted, morphed, and grown, though one key factor has withstood the passage of time and that is the desire to treat each customer with the upmost care and respect while working to provide them with “Service for the Future”.
